ESSA Blown Glass Instructor Accepted in Delta Exhibition

ESSA's hand blown glass instructor, Ed Pennebaker, has been accepted into the 52nd Annual Delta Exhibition on display now through March 14th at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock. The competition spans Arkansas and six neighboring states and is considred the Golden Globes of the Arts in this region. Five hundred and fifty-four entries were submitted and only fifty-two were accepted for the exhibit. The Delta Exhibition fits into the center's mission statement to "provide a window into the arts", according to Laura Shafer, curatorial assistant at the Arkansas Arts Center.

Ed will be teaching hand blown glass for ESSA, beginning June 7th. The class will be held at Ed's studio, Red Fern Glass, in Osage, Arkansas. The studio is only 30 miles from Eureka Springs and this will be the first time that ESSA has had such an offering.

Come and learn the fundamentals of working with hot glass at the furnace! You may register for the workshop online at www.esartschool.org or by calling our wonderful ESSA staff at 479-253-5384.
