2005 Mad Hatter Ball, Valerie DamonValerie Damon, a talented children’s author, illustrator, publisher, and Eureka Springs School of the Arts instructor, has graced our area with her wonderful presence for many decades. She has shared her gift of creativity and imagination with the fantastic costumes she has charmed the Eureka Springs School of the Arts (ESSA) Mad Hatter Ball with for the past four years.
2008 Mad Hatter Ball, Valerie DamonIn 2008, Valerie won the “People’s Choice” award for her “Victorian Bride Corpse” costume, and has won, hands down, best hat and costume in previous years. Her body art of face painting and costuming have been one of the highlights of the Mad Hatter Ball for several years. With that in mind, ESSA Executive Director, Peggy Kjelgaard and ESSA Board Members have decided to pay tribute to Valerie with a special “Lifetime Mad Hatter” award at the Seventh Annual Mad Hatter Ball on Friday, October 23rd at 6:30 p.m. at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs.
